Hello!
Yesterday (after having done "Force Quit" on Mailsmith by
mistake) I ended up with an "incoming mail" folder with a wrong
message count. Actual content is 21 items (2 unread), while the
counter says 32 items (8 unread).
Is there a (quick) fix for this? I gather "rebuild" (on startup)
is no longer recommended in these circumstances, as it once was.
Or am I wrong?
Best of wishes!

Launch with the Shift key held down, and the counts will be recomputed. This may take some time.

I don't believe you are wrong with as to the recommendation from
Stickshift for rebuilding mailboxes. But, if I recall correctly,
starting up Mailsmith with the option key depressed will cause
the message counts to be recomputed but not rebuild the Mailbox.
And I believe this is what has been suggested by Stickshift in
the past for this issue.

Many thanks! I'll do this, when I'm back
with my home computer (right now on a summer trip). I reckon it's
"shift" and not "option", as Bill Rowe suggested. ;-)
Best of wishes from Sweden!
